I love that L.A. is a quick flight from San Francisco. As many times as I’ve been to L.A. I’m never tired of it. We seem to always find new places to see, people to meet, and food to eat. This trip was a week long getaway to cure cabin fever and traveling-with-an-infant nerves. Success. See a few photos I manage to NOT SHARE on Instagram. They’ve been sitting on my desk way too long!
On my desk today: getting back to business– well getting back to my “usual routine and pre pregnancy body” business, starting with food. Try my new salad recipe I whipped up that’s (of course!) quick and easy. I was inspired by the summer beet salads at restaurants (and okay, bikinis). I couldn’t resist a DIY at home when I stumbled upon beets at Trader Joe’s.
We’re celebrating Easter this weekend with Liv! See Liv’s first Easter photos plus try the beautiful Easter egg decorating idea from the photos that are super easy and quick. Let’s hop to it! Continue reading
Liv is home, reality has sunk in that we are parents, and we are solely responsible for this small little human being WE created. Wow. Since being home, adjusting, and recovering, my husband and I thought to make our own list of things we’ve discovered in the short time caring for a newborn!
We happily welcomed our baby daughter, Liv Juliette Chan, at 4:27 pm on March 13th, 2015. Liv was born at 7lbs 8oz. and 19 3/4 inches! My desk will become a lot busier now as a family of three, but we can’t wait! As part of her homecoming, I’m sharing Liv’s nursery, inspired by our safari honeymoon in Africa, where Liv was conceived (unexpectedly)!
What’s on my desk is what’s in my bag today. By bag I mean what I’ve packed in my hospital bag in preparation for #minimilancomingsoon. I’m at 39 weeks and waiting. I figured this would be a helpful post if you’re pregnant. Feel free to use this visual list!
I keep pushing it with “one more trip” before I go into labor! I couldn’t imagine not celebrating our 6th year anniversary (when we started dating) and Valentine’s, especially when there are options like Calistoga, an area of Napa, known for its natural springs and mud baths. Unfortunately, we found out that it’s not advised for pregnant women to participate. I decided to still keep with our plans and at least get away for the weekend to explore the town. I know what you’re thinking, what else is there to do when you’re in wine country but drink?!
Roses are red, violets are blue, forever and ever, I’ll always love you. As we are away this weekend to celebrate 6 years together, we also wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines! Here’s a collection of my favorite Love’grams from Instagram. Enjoy! <3
