I know some of you are probably wondering where the heck did this blog come from? Especially because I have all these posts on here yet only shared it for the first time now. Today I launched it, FINALLY- this blog that I’ve been thinking about since the beginning of the year but had yet to complete. All my posts were recently created and back dated because I didn’t want you all to come upon an empty website. I could have done a better job with some of the posts, but I was running out of time since I had procrastinated. All the mass editing also had me dizzy! I cranked and cranked and crammed this past month so that I could give you more of a taste in the direction I want to take this, whatever that direction becomes!
I know, I’m a bit late with announcing that we’re expecting but we are! I have to admit though, I did enjoy these last 5 months reveling in the news privately with my husband. But now… there’s no hiding my bump, especially when wearing a bikini on the beach!
I am not going to pretend I’m some super-wife-homemaker-chef that can do it all… from scratch. What’s the point when there are places like Costco that are willing to help you out on the prep part? A few nights (okay most nights) a week meals are last minute, especially if you’re coming home from a long day of work and you’re too exhausted to fathom “what should I make for dinner?”
On my desk was 100 degree weather and cacti as we went back to Palm Springs to celebrate our 1 year anniversary! We stayed at the same hotel, The Parker, but didn’t do all the same things. To our surprise, there was a lot left in Palm Springs for us to explore even though we did so much last year.
“Do you remember? The 21st night of September?” We do vividly. Today is our anniversary! I swear it was just yesterday I was anxiously awaiting my cue to walk down the aisle to a friend playing, Marry Me by Train on his piano. We have been incredibly thankful to our friends and family for all of their support in making us strive to be better people for each other!
Welcome to the new fit.
Pilates? Yoga? Spinning? Soul-Cylcer (yes, that’s different than spinning they will tell you)? Running? Boxing? Whatever your athletic musings are you’ll need to make sure you’re showing up ready.
Have you ever wondered what glamping is like? I did and decided to find something a little less traditional for where we would stay while in Malibu, California. On my desk today, I stumbled upon this amazing place perched on a high (maybe the highest) peak in Malibu!
Take a tour of our generation’s amazing DIY queen, Ms. Erica Domesek’s desk today. Have you ever wonder what these craft geniuses’ closets looked like? I’ll tell you. There are pens in every color and style (some are the write and sniff kind I bet), custom gold tools to create and snip materials into magic, and a collection of glitter and beads that rival a Dylan’s Candy Store.
Thank you to my girlfriend, Tyann Jackson, for teaching me this recipe. I observed her one morning making this salad for us to share. OMG, she was lucky I didn’t eat it all. I have now found an absolute go-to favorite! I can live off only eating this salad for days and let me mention that salads were never my thing before.
