On my desk today: getting back to business– well getting back to my “usual routine and pre pregnancy body” business, starting with food. Try my new salad recipe I whipped up that’s (of course!) quick and easy. I was inspired by the summer beet salads at restaurants (and okay, bikinis). I couldn’t resist a DIY at home when I stumbled upon beets at Trader Joe’s.
What’s on my desk today? Something for the non-bakers like me. My friend T.K. made this cake for New Year’s Eve and it was a hit. Afterward, I had to ask her if she would make it again for you guys and share her simple recipe.
Nuts are not allowed in our house. After meeting my husband about 6 years ago, I stopped eating nuts (for the most part) and keeping any products with nuts in the house. It’s too dangerous with his nut allergy to risk it. But all rules are meant to be broken, right? That’s what happened when Jordan Porter introduced me to her Nola Bars. I snuck a box home and kept them hidden from my husband! Keep reading to tour her desk and get her Grain-Free Carrot Cake Muffins recipe too!
I’m sharing photos from my desk today of #MiniMilanComingSoon’s recent baby shower hosted by my best friends! Get DIY recipes, learn how to make a fun raindrop photobooth station, plus more!
Tired of the regular American Eggs and Bacon breakfast menu? Here’s my cheat sheet on a quick and easy recipe for sweet and savory crepes that will impress your holiday guests, kids, or loving husband!
Quick! Running out of time? Let’s put the final touches to your Thanksgiving Dinner. I’m sharing my last minute Holiday Table Setting for your dinner party if you don’t have one yet. This will take little time but still add all the glee for your guests!
I am not going to pretend I’m some super-wife-homemaker-chef that can do it all… from scratch. What’s the point when there are places like Costco that are willing to help you out on the prep part? A few nights (okay most nights) a week meals are last minute, especially if you’re coming home from a long day of work and you’re too exhausted to fathom “what should I make for dinner?”
Thank you to my girlfriend, Tyann Jackson, for teaching me this recipe. I observed her one morning making this salad for us to share. OMG, she was lucky I didn’t eat it all. I have now found an absolute go-to favorite! I can live off only eating this salad for days and let me mention that salads were never my thing before.
Eating at my desk! Most of the time I would forget to take a photo before eating, I know, how out of character of me since I’m Asian, but I managed to snap a few on my iPhone for your food porn enjoyment.
